Make Up For Ever review

I don't think I have ever met a MUFE product that I didn't like love. The pigmentation is amazing! Actually, I prefer the matte finish eyeshadows to M.A.C matte eyeshadows. For some reason, every M.A.C matte eyeshadow I have seems to fall flat, but I never have this problem with Make Up For Ever. Also, you get a lot more product than you do with M.A.C shadows! The colors are vibrant and a little bit goes a very long way!

Eyeshadow in Yellow Gold (#10)
This is such a gorgeous shimmery yellow! I love pairing it on the inner corners and as a highlight in the center of my lid when I usually do a shimmery green eye. I have noticed that some yellows can be extremely unflattering, but since is this is a very golden yellow, it adds a very beautiful light golden sparkle. I love bold and bright colors but I used to be somewhat hesitant about wearing yellows on my eyes, but this is a very safe shade of yellow. So this would be a great choice for somebody who generally wears neutrals but would like to experiment with brighter and bolder colors...also a great choice for those who love brights! It's a very pretty flattering golden toned yellow that I imagine would suit many skin tones!

Lipstick in Fluorescent Orange Pink (#203)
I have many bright pink lipsticks that I adore, and this is no exception! It's so moisturizing! Most highly pigmented lipsticks with great staying power tend to lack moisture, but this really defies that "standard"! It's a very bright and in-your-face rock star hot pink, but can be blotted down to a sheer bright pink flush. However, most of the fun in sporting such a fun bright shade is wearing it in its full intensity! Prepare to get many compliments while wearing this color. I love it and I have every intention of regularly wearing this color. I have similar shades, but part of its appeal is how comfortable it feels on your lips and how moisturizing it is! Some people dislike lipstick because of the generalization that lipstick looks and feels "heavy", but this doesn't feel heavy or uncomfortable at all! There are several other shades to choose from if such a bright shade isn't your "thing" but I do highly recommend this shade!

How cute is this mini Aqua Eyes collection?

It comes with five shades that are very very very wearable. I love the fact that each of these colors can be worn on a daily basis as a part of your day-to-night beauty routine! What I love best about this set is the staying power. After I swatched each shade on my hand, it took several times washing my hands to remove any traces of color (considering it's waterproof, haha), this stuff is going to stay exactly where you put it!

- 0L Black: How can you go wrong with black eyeliner? Especially when it has the MUFE signature smooth creamy texture? Make a clean line, or smoke it out, either way, this has you covered as long as you smudge before it has time to fully adhere to your skin!

- 21L Dark Grey: This is a new shade! It's a gorgeous smokey charcoal grey. This is a PERFECT alternative to the traditional black smokey eye liner. This would also make a terrific base for a smokey eye if you want your makeup to last for several hours with no worries about touch ups. This stuff does not budge once its applied and has time to adhere to the skin so be sure to smudge quickly!

- 12L Blue w/ green highlights: This color is not your typical run of the mill blue, you actually can see the green in it! It showed up as a shimmery blue turquoise on me when I first swatched it. The color reminds me of dc'd M.A.C eyeshadow in "Parrot" in Aqua Eyes eyeliner form! I think this would look fabulous with any eye color!)

- 4L Shimmering plum: Oh my goodness, attention: Brown eyed girls, THIS will probably be quickly become your favorite purple eyeliner EVER. This pulls out the golden hues in my brown eyes. I can imagine that this would look awesome with green, hazel, or blue eyes as well...but purples and greens tend to be my favorites when it comes to eye colors because they really make my brown eyes pop! I lightly dotted this between my lower lashes and it gave me a very subtle but funky effect. You could see the purple and it was totally appropriate for the day-time but can also be stepped up a notch for the later hours!

- 23L Champagne: Perfect pale shimmery highlight color. Due to the pencil form, it's easier to highlight the inner corners of your eyes than with a brush -in my opinion/experience. Another way I also like to give the illusion of a full eight hour sleep, is to trace underneath the arch of my brow and quickly blend so there's no harsh shimmery line. I'm not sure why, but I just look more awake when I do that.. I love to achieve an 'ethereal' look by lightly tracing my lower lash line with this, and highlighting my cupid's bow. I know technically it's an eyeliner, but I get many uses out of this pencil/color!

This brand has a strong cult following of beauty buffs and professional makeup artists. Everybody respects MUFE. It's impossible not to!

HD Powder

This powder is so lightweight and translucent, it doesn't make light skintones look "ghostly" or make darker skintones appear "ashy" so everybody can win with this amazingly universal finishing powder. It is mattifies all skin textures and completes the look of an airbrushed complexion. I simply dust my face with this as a final step for 'face' makeup and it makes my skin look flawless in pictures or in person, outdoors and even in harsh lighting!

Aqua Eyes - waterproof eyelining pencil in "Bronze"

I love golden bronze-toned eye pencils. They can work for any eye color from blue to brown to green! I love the way bronze really pops the blue, draws out the green, or ignites the gold in brown eyes. Bronze, in my opinion, is the way to go with eye pencils. Black can sometimes be harsh against certain skintones, and bronze is an interesting alternative for brown eyeliner. It can be intensified for nighttime, and wearable in the daytime.


False Eyelashes in #109

I love love love false eyelashes. They frame every individual eye shape and can look completely natural or as dramatic as you want. The pair I have is #109 (Janet). The lashes are long, very thick and black. If it's "too much", you can always trim the lash a little bit or cut it in half to glue on the outer corners of your eyes to open them up a bit more. I know that sometimes mascara just isn't enough for some people. Sure, applying false eyelashes does require patience and a steady hand...but if you are willing to take the time required for a flawless application (and maybe put up with a little bit of trial and error the first few attempts), the result is so very well worth it.

Fascinating Lip Gloss in #5 (Pearly Coral Red)

Being a redhead, I love my reds and I love my corals. So when corals and reds get together, I am one very happy girl. This lipgloss is sheer, yet it is somewhat buildable. It's not as opaque as I expected or would have liked it to be, but I can't help but love it simply because the color itself is very gorgeous. If you love reds and corals, this is the perfect lipgloss combination of the two. It is, in my opinion, a face-brightening shade of lipgloss.
